Welcome to the Vertical & Indoor Farming Conference!

As the global population climbs, the World Resources Institute highlights a pressing challenge: food demand is expected to surge by 50% in the coming decades. Meanwhile, the available space for traditional agriculture is shrinking rapidly. Amidst this backdrop, vertical farming emerges as a beacon of hope, capable of delivering fresh, local produce to communities worldwide. However, issues such as design complexity, financing difficulties, and high energy costs have previously curtailed the scalability of these innovative farming methods.

Nevertheless, the landscape is evolving. Notably, a 30,000 square meter facility in Dubai represents the burgeoning potential of large-scale vertical farming. According to recent analyses, deploying 94 such facilities could entirely offset the UK’s imported salad needs. While the Controlled Environment Agriculture (CEA) sector in the USA has faced financial hurdles, the drive to optimize water usage and reduce land dependency continues to fuel progress.

Concurrently, the 11th Plant Genomics & Gene Editing Congress USA 2024 and the 8th Partnership in Biocontrol, Biostimulant & Microbiome Congress: USA 2024 will also be held. Attendees are encouraged to explore these sessions as well.

New for 2024. Introducing “flash” oral presentations on the Start-ups and Pioneers Stage. Want to know more? Please contact us for special bespoke packages designed to make your experience at the meeting exceptional.
